Peaceful farm,
Rural charm,
Change in status brought alarm.
Factory,
Industry,
Production with prosperity,
Wills collide,
Take a side,
Opposition ranks deride.
Programs dear,
Losing, fear.
Alter while still keeping here?
Educate,
Compensate,
Resolve without promoting hate.
Bankruptcy,
Some foresee,
Debate the hoped-for remedy.
People’s choice,
Giving voice,
Some protest and some rejoice.
Enforcement lax,
Fix with tax?
Finance programs on whose backs?
Clashing, bashing,
Trashing, gnashing,
Time now for some sane rehashing?
Some will pray,
Course will stay,
Most hope to resolve the fray.
Peaceful farm,
City charm,
May all be safe from hate’s alarm.
