Heroine Bravely Suffers in Silence
Though self-pity is tempting, I'm loath to complain.
Sacra-iliac is tedious to repeat again.
The symptoms are worse in that very same way,
sciatic nerve trying to spell or to say.
Would a one-syllable ailment cause less distress?
If you ask, "Does that hurt?" I'll simply say "yes."
My friends may be favored because it's this way,
not bored with the symptoms I'd otherwise say.
I hope it will pass; the subject's no fun,
I'll just hold my tongue and be glad when it's done.
(Yeah, right.)
