Transplanting Flowers
I知 looking for a better day
To set peonies and hollyhocks;
I want them planted before May.
And, still, late freezing to allay,
Although we've passed the equinox.
I知 hoping for a better day.
Excited visions on the way,
Of glorious flora among the rocks,
I want them planted before May.
Sunny spot in my yard seems okay.
Shade tree the other option blocks,
But I hope for a better day.
They値l be well leafed out some spring day,
Unless Jack Frost, untimely, knocks;
I want them planted before May.
Some rosy red, some pale as whey,
My peonies and hollyhocks,
I want them planted before May,
But I値l wait until a better day.
