The Sands of Time Pass in Review

As we see Saturday is winding down,
the busy-ness of the week reviewed,
Does accomplishment our efforts crown?
Can we close the week with gratitude?

Was a child's giggle shared in fun,
or a friend's good news received with joy?
It could be, when all is said and done,
their shared warmth was our "atta boy."

I think Father God smiled at our jest,
if in kindness and good humor shared.
My time with Him seems the very best,
when I think of ways that He has cared.

The moon and star bid Sunday, "Now arise."
For us children waiting for the dawn.
May we honor Father God without disguise,
as through His special day we carry on.
