Great Jehovah, Father of all fathers,
Whose Son was sent to all our burdens bear,
You’ve known the mighty grief of giving
And, with the world, Your only son to share.

For every father who to son or daughter
Shared, or could not share their joys and woes,
May memory be healed or esteemed greater;
Jehovah cares, dear friend; Jehovah knows.
