Miffed
When I shared what I thought was wit,
I was a little miffed.
Though I saw clarity in it,
You didn’t catch the drift.
Your humor is such fun for me,
So I know it is your thing.
Inattention seems to have
Muted its intended ring.
There always is a lesson
In my feelings of chagrin;
I’ll give my best attention
When you’re sharing wit, again.
