Babbage's Torment

Aha! You're not a man; you're just a tool,
So I'm free to castigate your perverse way.
I won't be condemned for saying harshly, "Fool,"
Nor held accountable for taunts I say.

The sad part is that it does no good;
Inanimate, object. you don't react.
The best thing to do is think through, if I could,
How to cause you to operate or process fact.

I guess I'll eat the bitter words I said,
Not lower myself to 'dis' a dumb device,
That, with the right approach may not seem dead,
But be, as I've been told, help worth the price.
